April 28, 2014 Week 29

Hellooo My loving family!
This was a great week! It was definitely different though, just because we've been really shaping up our teaching pool a lot lately. We found people who just weren't making progress at all, so we basically decided to do a desire check for them.  Some of them we had to drop, just because we felt like it was the right thing. And it was! We know because the Lord had blessed us with finding two new investigators last week too! Great ones, like ones who we think have a huge chance of getting baptized. We actually were with one of them this morning because he needed help with his house, just some wood work and stuff. Which is why I'm on way later than usual!! Sorry about that! He's super cool, his names J, and he knows who we are and knows the basics of our religion.  After we finished helping him out, he fed us then we had a long talk and we discussed the Book of Mormon and how it came to be here and Joseoph Smith and everything. He's sweet! Then the other one was a potential we have been trying to contact for so long and we finally got him! He's going through a tough time with his wife being very ill.  She just had a heart attack yesterday actually, so he's getting beaten up right now. But our message really helped him out and comforted him, helping him realize that there is still peace and that everything will get better.
Wednesday we went to Pastor Gale's Bible class to meet more people.  It was very interesting, but cool at the same time. It was also Elder V birthday yesterday, so that was fun. Oh and on Thursday we had zone conference, so that was really nice to see other missionaries too.  Especially seeing some from my past districts who I got close with. I also ran into a missionary who apparently knows a couple of my friends from back home and from BYU. He was also at the Santa Barbara efy at the same time I was there, so we talked for a while about that.  That was sick!  This whole thing was in Concord, and let me tell you, Concord seems really cool, and I wouldn't mind serving there some day. That would be a lot of fun. As for the weather here, its been raining a lot! It's weird because it would be sunny one day then raining a lot the next day. Spring here in New England is very weird and different. I just want sun!! I also may be hiking Mount Washington soon!! How sick would that be! We found out it is in our area after all, I just need to convince my companion to have the desire to do it!

We have about 15 lessons a week, but last week we had a lot less due to scheduling issues. But that is a lot usually. Ya I heard about my old investigators in Derry.  A Sister P who I saw at conference, who is a senior couple in my last ward, said that they are no longer investigators I guess. So I'm a bit confused and bummed.  We'll see.  I just will email someone and see what happened.  I'm feeling a lot better, still a running nose, but I think it's because of allergies!

I also know my old companion's new companion.  He came out with me.  He seems very cool, and nice. Brother M, one of the Derry ward members, told me that he likes him a lot, and that Elder S was shocked on how hard the area is. Derry was a very hard area.

Man, Mother's day is two weeks away. I'm so excited you have no idea.  Love you mom!! I miss you so much!!  Thanks for everything you do!!

April 21, 2014 Week 28

Hey Hey Hey!!
Whats up guys! Sorry it took me a while to get on, we've been getting some stuff done here. Things here are going well!! We've been really really busy it's crazy. We are constanly on the move but it stinks at the same time because it's killing our miles and we are coming up to our month's limit and there's still like 15 days in the month. But we've been teaching so much lately.  A lot of part members, some investigators, and less actives. We have one who is getting close to baptism but she just won't commit at all so it's hard but she does want to get baptized, she just feels like she's not reasdy. Friday was interesting because we went to a Catholic Good Friday ceremony and because we are really good friends with the pastor of the church, we were in it, like participated in it.  We said the opening prayer, but it was a scripted prayer. So basically we just took turns reading a slip and had the audience read to us. The speakers were basically yelling at us, like how they do it in the old times, they yell. The spirit was missing, it just didn't feel right. It makes me cherish how wonderful our church is and it basically re confirm that our church is the true church. It was interesting! Then Saturday was fun because at night we had a church ball game with less actives and non members that wanted to play with us and we just had a pick up game and it was a lot of fun. The people that came are so cool too!  I really love them!  I think its mainly because they're a lot like the people that play basketball with David, they are a lot  like Clark and David's friends and they loved me, so we had a great time. Of course I was better than them;) It was fun. Things have been great here!! But I'm getting sick and it Stinks!! Gosh I hate getting sick on my mission. My throat is killing me right now.  I got it from my companion because he's sick too.  At least I'm not coughing a lot like he is. But I'm great!! I'm glad to hear things have been great for you!! Sounds like Monterey was a lot of fun!!
Love you all!!  Reply!!:)

Love you both so much and miss you both. It's crazy I'll be seeing your faces in less than a month now!! Hope this week goes really well for you both! Love you!!

April 14, 2014 Week 27

O man guess where I am, I'm literally like an hour away from the Canadian Border in RANDOLPH, NEW HAMPSHIRE.  Like the very tip of New Hampshire, way up there. It is soo sweet!  Soo different though!  Like, everything is different. The lifestyle, the nature, the people. I feel like I'm in another country, like England! It's crazy. The coolest thing I think is that there are mountains all around us and it's so sick! I miss mountains and am so happy to see them again! I guess we are fairly close to Mt. Washington, but it's not in our area I son't think. Our area is MASSIVE!! Its soo spread out. My new companion is Elder V and he's soo sweet!!  Gosh I needed this. He kind of reminds me of Kyler Miller, just how he acts and everything, hes sweet though. I'll send a pic soon. The work here is so different than the other one. We have 11 investigators we're working on with a couple almost ready and so many less actives too. The branch ( Yes im in a branch not a ward now) is so small. Yestersay only like 25 people came to church and it was full of older people. We only have like 2 young families. I've never seen so many older people at church. haha but the people here are so awesome! They love us and will talk with us whenever they can. I do miss my old ward so much, I think its mainly because of how many people come to this branch, but again, its a great branch. This week was crazy, because right when I got here, the apartment was so disgusting and small and there were bed bugs on one of the beds.  Luckily we were able to move to a new apartment in Gorham,NH and its a lot cleaner and a better surrounding area. We've been working so hard lately, and teaching so many people, it's so nice to be in a place where there's a lot of work. It's great!! Reply soon please!!

My district is sweet, there's only two sets of missionaries in it. I don't really know one of the Elders, Elder G, he was the old Assistant to the President, and he got released and he got down to junior companion. I just know him through him coming to one of my district meetings from before.

April 7, 2014 Week 26

Hey guys!!
So im guessing you heard the news, yep im getting transferred!  About time too! I'm really stoked.  It'll be nice to go somewhere new and to get a new companion. I dont know where I'm going yet or who my new companion is until tomorrow afternoon. I'll let you guys know as soon as I can! I will miss this area so much though. It probably will be my favorite because the members are just amazing. Including the investigators.  I know they'll get baptized, I'm just bummed I probably wont be there for it. They are just so close!  But I'm happy knowing how much I have done for them. The ward keeps telling me they'll miss me and wishing me luck. Brother Tremblay talked to me and mentioned that he was happy for me. He said, "I'm happy that you're getting transferred because you have plenty of work to do in other areas." Oh mom, expect his wife's email because she did ask for your email so she can email you. The call in night was sketchy too because we can get a call anywhere from 8:30 till 10:30PM, but we usually get it at 9:30 ish. I knew we were going to get a call, but time kept passing by, and it was 10:15 at that time.  I was getting worried but then the call came and my heart seriously leaped up. I was so relieved. Haha Im excited to see where I'm going. Well everything else is good. On Friday we went to the Joseph Smith Birthplace Memorial and that was really cool. Plus I was able to go to Vermont.  Vermont is sweet!  I wouldn't mind going there at all sometime! It's full of mountains, or BIG hills I guess, and we passed by a couple of snowboarding resorts. I haven't seen mountains in so long, so it was cool to see them. The investigators loved it too. Conference was cool, we watched it at the chapel.  We weren't allowed to watch it anywhere else, even someone's house.  There were only like 4 of us in the chapel during most of the sessions, but I loved it. Especially President Monson's talk on love and President Utchdorfs talk on "sleeping through the restoration" in priesthood session. It was a fun week, I had a good time. Everything's good.  I've been packing a lot.  Thats sweet that Abby had a great time at prom, and did well at the tournament, same with Kate. Haha how did sam enjoy being home alone?? What else is new?? Same old??
Love you all, Reply soon!!:)

March 31, 2014 Week 25

Ahola guys!!
Last week was a good week.  We had District Pday last week and that was a lot of fun, we played a lot of different stuff.  A lot of basketball which was really nice!  It was a blast! Then we had interviews with president. It was really great!  We talked a lot about a lot of different things.  How Im doing overall. He commented on how he has seen me improve as a missionary, and how I'm starting to have a lot of confidence. He said that he did see a difference in me between the first time to now. He loves my attitude, he's just a geat president, I love him and couldn't have asked for a better president. Then I had a doctors appointment for my knee. Whoops did i tell you I was gonna have one last week? ;) Haha im fine, I found out I have something called runners knee, which is where one of my leg muscles is off balance than the other, which is why my knee has been getting pushed to the side and popping a lot. He gave me a few exercises that I should do to fix it. So its good! T and K are doing well, T has been commenting a lot on how she feels this peace all the time, which is the Spirit, she's so ready for baptism, K is too.  We know they will get baptized, it's just in due time, but I'll be sad if I I dont get to attend them.  I'm grateful to have been working with them and helping them change their lives. It's great!  Im great though!! Nothing else is new here! We had sleet rain today, but it is warming up finally!  What else is new back at home??
 Love you all!!

March 24,2014 Week 24

Heyyy family!

I know this is earlier than usual but we have District P day today so we've been rushing things.

So yes we did get a chance to sleep at the hotel this week which was pretty cool!  Super nice to sleep in a big bed this time! Man I loved it! It was super sweet!  I took a bunch of pics and videos you'll love, so I'll probably send home a flash drive soon. This past week was a fun week. Especially because of exchanges with the District Leader. His name is Elder J. Super cool guy. He is just like me, and he knew Elder D from his last area so we had a lot to talk about. We litterally stayed up all night both nights just talking, and had a great time together. He's really cool!  T and K are doing well. They did bring up that they were feeling like they were being pressured into baptism, so unfortunately K is going to talk to the Prirest in her Catholic church about everything. Haha Man come on!! Oh well, T doing well, we have so many potentials we need to follow up on, most of them will probably turn into investigators soon because they do seem very interested. Everything else is good.
That's cool of Abby, kind of a catchy way to ask someone to prom. How's everything else back at home. Did Gertie finish her 3 round of chemo yet? And did you guys repaint your room?? Cause it seems a lot different in the picture! We also have interviews with the president.  I'm very excited about that to see what he has to say and to see him. I'm doing well though!! Crazy, its almost been 6 months huh??

I'm feeling great!! My interview is this Thursday!! It's still a bit cold, but not too bad. Warming up finally!! Hopefully no more snow!!

March 17,2014 Week 23

Hey Mi Familia!!
This week was all right. One of our investigators, Juan, dropped us, but luckily we still have the other investigators. They are still going strong. Kathy came to church yesterday but Terri was unable to go because she wasn't feeling too well. Their getting closer! Exchanges did not happen due to the snow!  I was so bummed! Luckily we have another one tomorrow night and I'm going with the DL ( Elder J) who's super cool and funny. So I'm pretty stoked for that. Hopefully it'll happen this time because it would be fun to have a change for a day.
Umm, it didn't snow too bad, just enough to cancel the exchanges, we did help the Peacocks shovel out their driveways and it was their youngest son's birthday.  They have a huge hill by their house so they went sledding and wanted us to join with them. So of course I did! Elder B didn't until the very last part of it. But I had a blast, the kids are very fun to hang out with, the mom was with us too having a good time, the dad was at work. It was a good time.
That is so awesome for abby, I'm so happy for her! Man sounds like they have an amazing team this year, are they gonna take it all this year?? That would be so sick! By the way, yesterday we went to this family's hourse for dinner, and the youngest daughter Rachael, is so much like Kate!  Every time I talked to her or whenever she talks, I see kate and it makes me miss her so much. It was funny!

How was midterms? Were they hard for them. What else is new? Isn't spring break coming up??

March 10, 2014 Week 22

Hey guys!
Geez, quite a week. Before anything. We did not get a chance to sleep in a hotel, because my companions insurance won't cover it for some reason, but oh well. It's all good. When he called Sister Stoker to tell her the news since she's over every missionaries health, she mentioned that she thinks it would be easier ot send him home to do the sleep study then come back out, she really wanted him to do that, but he said that thats the least thing that he wants. He says they'll  have to drag him on the plane if that's happening, so he's been super stressed out lately. Luckily for him after constant phone calls to doctors and Sister Stoker, he's kind of able to figure things out, so he won't be going home, for now. But he's still waiting for a call from a certain doctor, if it's bad news, then he'll probably go home just for the sleep study. He then told me, that if he goes home, he may not be coming back out for some reason. So its been a rough week for him.  We were able to talk discuss how we can improve as companions.  Im hanging in there, just making the best out of this! Next transfers only 4 more weeks. So I'll hang in there!!
As for my investigators, they're all good. Well one of them, J, dropped us mainly because his daughter doesn't want him to talk to us, even though he says he does believe in everything and I can tell he was going to commit to baptism soon, so that's a huge bummer. But T and K are doing well. We just need to soften K's heart still, I know they can do it, and they are almost there, almost ready. I can tell they want to commit. Hopefully there  will be good news from them this week. A couple of days ago, we stopped by a frozen lake in our area, and decided to walk on it for fun since we had been having a long day, it was super cool. Their were a lot of ice fishing booths on it, a lot of people ice fishing. Kinda cool to be on on the middle of the lake, Elder B didnt want to go far cause he was a bit nervous. But I just kept walking:). So ya, thats my week. Other than that, everything else is the same. The weather's slowly warming up so the snow has been melting a bit. But I heard there's supposed to be snow again on Wednesday. How has everyone been?? What's new??

Theres another thing. One thing I've noticed while i have been out here is that almost every family I see has family problems, one way or another, and i mean a huge ones. It makes me realize how lucky I really am to be in such a wonderful family who supports me and cares for me. This Gospel and the Lord has blessed me in many ways. Its so sad to see someone struggling with their families. Like T's daughter is not letting T see her grandchildren at all, maybe once a while and they live like a block away from each other. I love you and my family. Thank you for being wonderful parent to me.

March 3, 2014 Week 21

Hey Guys, whats up??
Its been a crazy week this past week.
We actually went to the city of Manchester for Elder B's doctor appointment to set up his sleep study appointment, and it will be this Friday. While we were at Manchester we found a Chipotle, and of course I went there, it was so good! Something that I miss so much. Hahaha It was cool to be in the city of Manchester, its a nice little city. As for the sleep study, pretty interesting actually. Instead of ot being at a hospital, its at a hotel right by the Manchester airport, so we will be sleeping at a hotel this Friday night. Its a 2 bedroom suite so I get my own bed and bathroom, while Elder B is in the other room all hooked up with wires all over him, with a camera above him watching him sleep. It'll be nice to sleep in a big comfy bed, I won't want to go back after. Weird isnt it?? Haha funny though. We have access to everything just like any other guests do, even the pool and spa, but of course we won't swim in it. We may use the exercise facility in there though. Plus, we can go to the breakfast buffet the next morning. It'll be an interesting experience. I'm stoked for it though! Hha, weird isnt it??
So K and T are still staying strong, they have been coming to church the past 4 weeks which is great, something they need to kind of boost up their spirits. Their trials are letting up, getting easier on them. Overall, K just needs to learn to budget better, then she should be fine. We have been helping them so much, and they are so grateful for it. We also taught them the Word of Wisdom, which is something especially T needded to hear, with her smoking addiction. She has improved a lot, she went from 3 packs a day to 1 which is sweet, she just needs to keep it up!
As for Elder B It's good, Im good:). I am learning a lot so thats what counts.
Dang, sounds like Abby has a tough decision to make soon, which is her top choice? Irvine? Oregon? Hows did she like UC Ircvine? How's Nana liking Florida, I just wrote her a letter, hopefully she'll get it soon. That's great Bailey made it into the Y! But you think he'll go to the U? When does he find out if he gets in or not? How's he doing?? What else is new? Thanks for everything. By the way, the Baers sent me a package, a cool one too! So tell them I say thank you and I love it. I'll write them a letter too. Love you all!!

February 24,2014 Week 20

Hey guys,
It's been a while since we talked huh?? So as for transfers, nothing happened, soo that means I'm still here for another 6 weeks.  But I'll survive! Nothing new really happened here! We had a sick snowball fight outside of the church after district meeting with the district. They were a great district so I'll miss them a lot, but hopefully the new one will be just as good! One of our investigators, K, Is getting evicted. Basically shes getting kicked out of her apartment for different reasons, so we've been trying all we can do to help her out. But it's hard for her because she's been going through a lot and this is the last thing she needs.
I am very glad to be staying here in Derry though! I really do love this place and ward, I know i will be very sad when I find out I'm leaving this area. As for the weather, its been warming up! Finally!! But its still pretty flipping cold. I'm just hoping it's done snowing for the season, I guess we'll have to see for that. But ya, evrerythings good here!!
Thats so sick that Sam's doing golf, he'll have a lot of fun, ya he can use my clubs, but he better not lose his temper and throw my clubs;). What else is new with you guys?? Same old stuff?? Love ya'll. And really do miss all of you guys so much,
Love Elder Jensen!!

February 10, 2014 4 Months!!!

Hola mi familia!!
Things are going well here. We got another new investigator this week.  He was a former that we contacted last week, and we had our first appointment this week with him. His name is J Martinez, a really cool guy. I was shocked to see that hes never been baptized because hes been taught all the lessons multiple times, he even showed us how he has all the DVDs we hand out and he told us he watches them on occasions. After talking with him for a while, I realized his biggest problem was the Word of Wisdom, with coffee, along with how he doesn't keep his commitments. Those were the reasons why he was dropped, but that was last year, so hopefully he's ready now. We'll be working hard on him, the only tough thing is that he's so busy with work, he works at wal mart and he works there everyday besides Tuesdays and Wednesdays. So it can be a challenge to set up an appointment with him. We have our next appointment with him on Wednesday. As for our investigators now, T and K ( the best friends ) came to church yesterday, I was so happy when I heard they decided to keep their commitment to come to church, they absolutely loved it too! The talks were perfect for them, the first speaker is a convert, also someone who just got reactivated recently, and what he said, K was able to relate to, everthing he said K needed to hear. So cool how the Lord helps us when we have faith. As for May, we havent taught her yet because as I said before, she is Chinese and speaks very little english, so were waiting for the English pamphlets.  My only concern for her is that when we teach her, I feel like no matter how clear we make it, she'll still have trouble with understanding what we tell her. Even when we read the Book of Mormon with her and her husband, I can see the confusion in her eyes. Whenever I see that, I point it out and ask her if she has any questions, or anything that needs some clearing up, and we do what we can to help her.

So we saw a former after our appointment with J... Man that was quiet an experience. Her name is M Maker, we haven't ever met her before. So when we knocked, a guy about 22 years old answered, asked who we were, when we explained who we were and who were looking for, he called for his mom, and then let us in. As we were walking in, he mentions "Well, at least you guys arent Mormons right?" We replied by saying, yes we actually are, he still let us in though. As we were walking to the living room, we could see smoke everywhere, just floating around, and we see M Maker on the computer playing Lady Gaga, with three giant cans of beer besides her, we could just tell that she was WASTED, and there was a girl in her 20s sitting on the couch next to the guy who answered the door, who were smoking but not drunk. Even though the Spirit was not there at all at the beginning, after she turned off her music, and let us talk, M, and C (The boy and girl who were on the couch) had many questions for us. M really wasn't into the lesson because she was too out of it, but the Spirit was strong by the time we left, we were able to get a referral from C and M, they say to come back anytime. But get this, as we were walking out, my compnion was in front of me, shaking M Makers hand by the door, (whos still wasted) then I shake her hand, as I was walking outside, she smacks me on the butt!.... I was  shocked, but I just kept walking like it didn't happen!  After I told my companion when I got in the car, he just laughed his head off.
Overall,  It was a really cool experience, not gonna lie.
Pretty good week over all, we got a lot of snow last wednsday so we were out all day shoveling. That was a long day.
Hows everything for yall??

January 27, 2014 Week 16

Sorry! We had to wait forever for a package, but I finally got it!  Its sweet!

Man this week was just such a great week. Full of blessings and miracles. Im so stoked to finally say that we found not only 1 investigator, but 3! Weve been praying so hard and full of faith just so that we can improve the work of the Derry area. On our way back from Elder B's doctor appointment we passed by a building where I remembered a referral lives but she so hard to contact because she is always in the hospital.  I felt like we should turn around and try to see her again. We did, and walked inside and rang for her because it was in an apartment building, when she let us in and saw who we were she was very happy to see us. She saw the light of Christ in our eyes. We weren't able to go in because of gender rules. But we were able to leave her with a return appointment and an assignment for her to do for us when we get back. The appointment came up, then in the middle of it, her friend showed up and decided to join us, because according to T (our Investigator) she had said that she invited her friend to hear our message and teachings.  Both of them were very active in the conversations, had a lot of questions about the Plan of Salvation, and the Spirit was truly there! Then we had another appointment a couple of days later and we cleared up more of the Plan of Salvation then went on to the next lesson, the Gospel of Christ, we felt like we needed to teach these few lessons first. And they loved it! it was cool too, because when we walked in, C ( the other investigator) was going through a rough time, because the day before her granddaughter had passed away at only 20 because of a disease. Because we talked about the Plan of Salvation, she was comforted so much, and it was something she really needed to hear. I'm so glad we listened to the Spirit at that time. We invited her to Church but they said they couldn't come that Sunday, but definitely the next one, as well as a baptism that is coming up on Saturday.

Then, on Tuesday night, we had a lesson set up with a somewhat recent convert, and her wife was there, she isn't a member, but she joined us in the scripture reading, and after, Elder B just flat out asked if she was interested in the church and if she wanted to take the lessons. And she said yes, so now we have an appointment with her tomorrow night. Should be a good one! Such a good week!
Elder B wants to work hard. I actually enjoy him. Surprisingly. Last Sunday I flet bad for him though cause as he was signing for a deaf lady in the ward, he was struggling because he hadn't signed in almost a year. He had to switch with the other member who usually does it for her. He felt discourafed a bit but he's all good now, he just needs to practice! And he's a cook, so he cooks me dinner sometimes! Haha. Umm what else happened...
O yesterday, we went back to the Zoglios for lunch after church, and the dad, who's super smart, told me he made me something as he was cleaning out the basement, and he pulled it out, he made an alarm clock that has a part that shakes my bed. I dont know how he made it, he had a regular alarm clock but he wired it  it to something that shakes my bed. Pretty sick actually! Funny too. But ya, hows home for you guys?? Hows the weather? anything new? Its been cold here, back down to the 10s-20s..

Its so nice to finally get people to teach, it makes the work sao much easier.

Pictures-Week 15

January 20, 2014 Week 15

Hey Guys!
Sorry it took me a while, we're using the church's only computer since the library is closed for holidays. My new elder is Elder B. He's quite an Elder! Haha, He is super funny, and wants to work hard and super nice. I really like him.  We get along fine! I am learning to be patient with people. He's from Mesa Arizona, and he's an ASL missionary, so he will be teaching me sign a bit which should be cool. We’ll see how this transfer goes! He was telling me that when President Stoker called before he came in, President said that he would be sent to an interesting area and that Elders usually have to get transferred out because of how hard this area is.
The week was good, still warmer than usual! In the 30s-40s or so! Still friggen cold.  There was a storm recently so we went to the center of our area which has round about, and built a snow family with food coloring and with a sign "Family is Forever, Mormon. Org." It was Elder B idea so that was pretty cool!- I guess. It just sucks to not be able to have anyone to teach. It gets REALLY Hard. I just WANT to teach!!
-Thats awesome that Bailey got a chance to skydive! I’m so happy for him! Tell Sam he better wait till I get home, that would be soo sick if he does that. I would love that. Thats  bummer for Joseph but really funny.  That stinks about Abby losing to Force, I really don't like that team. I hope they pull it together.  Haha what was the original tweet?? K Ill have to write Hunter on that account. Sounds good, I’ll be looking for that package. Question, so if i send my iPod home, can you put on a couple of artist that I want then send it back?
-Hows Boreal??? Hows it being back on the board dad?? Any flips from you or Sam?? I bet the snows a bit icy.
-He's a good elder, he wants to work hard. I’m great with him, he really likes me, don't worry, I'm not a jerk to him. Ya he wakes me up, he says he really doesn't mind at all. I don't know what exactly just something how he struggles sleeping a lot during the night. He has  permission to sleep in if he needs to, he says the latest he slept in was 7. So that’s not too bad. I’ll ask. He's been out for 10 months now. Ask Gregory if he knows Thomas B?

Week 14

January 13, 2014  Week 14
Hey guys! Sounds like a pretty good week for you guys. I can't believe Abby’s 17!!  I feel like I was 17 like a couple of months ago.  I sent her a letter, did she get it? Last week was pretty good, nothing really new.  The lesson we had fell through so we have to reschedule it. As for transfers, Elder D is being transferred and I’m staying and getting a new companion, I'll find out who it is tomorrow, hopefully he'll be cool. Well have to wait and see!! Should be interesting. Sad to see Elder D go. It snowed a bit on Wednesday, but has been fairly warm this past week. Which is really weird, a lot of snow has melted. Sounds like Gertie is doing great, is she gonna be OK??

Sam sent me a bunch of his snow boarding videos!  I'm jealous!.... I miss it so much, especially constantly being in the snow. I will say one thing though, Sam seems so boss at snowboarding now. Next thing we know, he’s gonna be able to land a backflip!   So what else is new?? Nothing really new here, same old stuff. I’m doing good! Its very tough, but it takes time to adjust! Ive been doing a lot better though which is good. I miss you guys! Love ya!

Elder D leaves tomorrow during transfer meeting.  Ya I’m really excited to stay with the ward.  I really love the ward a lot. I don’t think Ill be driving, probably my new comp.  Ya I’m good, I’m staying strong:) Thanks mom. Hows Bailey doing?

Thats good, I’m glad chase is doing well. Ya, Austin’s gonna do really well in base training, or boot camp. He leaves next month right?

Nope, no idea whatsoever! We’ll have to wait! Did Bailey go skydiving?

Bye mom and dad, I miss you guys and love you guys!! I’ll talk to you next week!! Love your wonderful son, Elder Max Jensen

Week 13

January 6, 2014  Week 13
Hey guys, sorry it took me a while to get a chance to email you guys. We found a Kohl's in our area but its like at the edge of our area, so we really wanted to go, I got a couple of sick ties. We decided to do that at the beginning of our P day. It’s crazy I am almost 3 months out. Kinda feels slow, but fast at the same time.  Things re going great here. I fasted yesterday for Gertie and my area. Last week was crazy! We were on companion exchanges, I was with another elder who came out with me, Elder L, he is really cool, different, but I had a great time with him. It snowed a  lot on Thursday and Friday.  I was with Elder L for an extra day because our cars got grounded. So we spent the whole day shoveling snow!  I really love shoveling, its just something fun for me, plus it gives me a good workout. Another cool thing that happened was we have this potential we have been trying to contact for weeks but we could never get him while he is at home and he never answers his phone. The first night I was with Elder L, Bro. Mosher took us out to help him do mission work, and I felt we should go to his house again even though its kind of out of the way, so we prayed, then left.  He was outside his house as if he was waiting for us!  We had a great conversation with him. We set up an appointment with him this week. FINALLY we have someone! Hopefully everything will go well and he’ll be my first investigator.

Transfers next week. I’ll know whats going on on Saturday.  We thing I’ll be leaving to somewhere where I can get more experience with teaching then I’ll be training. But I guess we'll have to wait and find out!! Hows everything at home? Thats ridiculous there hasn’t been any snow or rain for that long. Hows Gertie doing? Thats such a sick post Hunter put up. Tell him I said thank you a lot. I miss him. Hows everything at home??  Thats good, I’m glad its going better. Ya definitely, I’ve been doing pretty good lately.  I mean there are days where its really tough, but I’ve been doing great!

I will, thanks, I miss the crap out of you guys too. Haha Love you guys, will do!!

Good bye guys, i love you and miss you guys so much. Hope you have a great week!! Love you guys. Be safe!! And stay warm;) JK You will...

Week 12

December 30, 2013  Week 12
Hey guys, Merry late Christmas! Man what a week, it was definitely a lot different. Christmas was really hard, not gonna lie, just being away from home and everything. But hey one more to go! I loved Skyping with you guys, definitely the best gift I could ask for. Sorry I broke down at the end, I was trying so hard to stay strong but that was really hard. After we left the Peacocks for dinner, I told my companion, "Man, you weren’t kidding when yo said that its such a bittersweet and one of the hardest moments on your mission when you talk to your family." Haha but I loved it. Thank you so much for the packages you guys sent. I got Abby’s package too, and I loved it! There was a lot of cool things in there that i really loved. Sounds like you guys had a great Christmas as well, with David and the family over. I’m just really glad you guys kicked some butt at the Holiday Bowl. I got the jersey, finally!! Such a sick one too!! I was impressed. How’s Gertie doing? Are you guys with her right now? Thats really funny how Sam and Bailey got on ESPN, so cool. Nothing is really new here, it warmed up a bit but its supposed to get a lot colder this week I guess. Honestly, I’m ready for this transfer to end. I really don’t like being a new missionary.. Chance didn’t Skype home?? How come?? I hope Chance is doing all right, I’ll email him and check up on him. The ward is great, we’ve been having a lot of members feeding us which is great. One thing new, I hate tracking so much, haha it gets me thinking a lot at home, which gets me homesick, but I try not to think about it. It’s really hard being a new missionary and you don’t have anyone to teach yet, it sucks. But hey, its all good. I hope everything else is good!! We got a potential last week which is sweet!! We’re gonna call him and I hope we can set up an appointment with him! But ya, nothing else here is new! Same old stuff I guess. Love you guys!!! Reply soon!

Ya sorry I’m a bit late emailing.  Elder Dean is good, same and what not. Treating me fine. Ya definitely.  I just cant wait for that moment when I finally have an investigator.

What's the flagship store?? Sounds cool! Ya I’m staying warm. I don’t think I need anything really. Can you check my debit card when you get a chance? Hows Gertie doing??

Week 10

December 16, 2013   Week 10
Hey guys! Thats really sad about Gertie!  Sounds like its gonna be a long year for them. I hope everything will go well. I’ll pray for her for sure. Yesterday was crazy, there was a storm two nights ago and when we woke up yesterday, church got canceled.  There was about a foot and a half or snow, which means our car got grounded sadly. That means we can’t drive for the day. Our plan was just to be outside the whole time and walk around to find people to help shovel their yard and walks for them and un bury their cars. First time I got to wear my boots, I love them! While we were walking, luckily Brother Peacock came and picked us up with his family and we came with them to help shovel a lot of member families houses and some of his neighbors. They’re a great family with 3 boys and 1 daughter.  They took us in and made hot chocolate for us and fed us lunch then we went back out and did the same thing. It was about 20 degrees, so pretty cold but when you’re out there working its not so bad! So it was basically three whole days shoveling and walking. I enjoyed it to be honest! But I’m so freaking sore right now. Other than that things are going pretty good, just been same old, really cold and snowing at some points. It got to 7 degrees on Wednesday morning. Man that was cold. One thing I learned while being out here, was when I was at home, I should have enjoyed service more than I did, because now, I want to do it every day!  I love it, just something about being a missionary and doing service, keeps your mind off your worries.

Cole did email me. It’s really great to hear from him!  Can I have Ryan and Chance’s email addresses too please. We got the 12 days of Christmas package, and we love it. We just want to open all of them now,. Haha by the way, the tennis ball was a very good idea so thank you.  I heard a quote saying, that “Your mission is the toughest, yet the most rewarding two years.” I don’t know if that’s true yet, but I’m starting to see it. Tell Bailey to start hanging out with Hunter and Chase more, and Abby’s friends like Shane, he really likes him. I really love Bailey’s beard. He wasn’t kidding when he said it had grown in a lot! I’m gonna do that when I get home;).
Sounds good about the Christmas package.  It's Skype, so you need to make an account I think. I don’t know how that works, so quickly check it out then let me know. I’m excited for Christmas but don’t know what to expect.  I just don’t want to tract during it. Ready for the HOLIDAY bowl?? Should be fun. Umm, I guess the only couple of things I may need is more acne stuff. My acne is starting to get pretty bad. Can you also send me my farewell talk so I can be ready in case I get asked to give a talk at the last second. And it would be sweet if you send me a holiday bowl jersey:).

By the way, I’m starting to get a cold.  My throat hurts right now, but I’m good. Things are going good here! Hard but I’ll suck it up! Hows things for you guys! Whats Christmas gonna be like for you?? Miss you guys!! LOve you!

Ya, it will for sure be. K ill have to check that out. Ya, its a really good idea. I hope not, well make sure we won’t. I’m excited to Skype though. How’s Logan doing? The ward does take good care of us, how did you hear about that? Haha awesome, I’m excited:) k sounds good.

Thats really sweet of her! i like that pic, send me other pictures! Of anything. I love pictures.Great pictures, I like those sweatshirts a lot, and I love Lyla! I forgot i have a pic of her in my camera for some reason.
